45 Supreme events over 6 days
The 2013 Woollaston Jazz and Blues Festival celebrates its 22nd birthday with a 6 day musical party! Music in parks, in bars on Nelson’s city streets and events right across the Tasman region to Golden Bay. Over 45 events equals a summer feast of jazz and blues in one of the most beautiful locations on the planet!
The festival kicks off with the Classic Hits Jazz & Blues in Fairfield Park Concert on Tuesday 1 January, featuring: Catherine Wells Quartet from Christchurch, MINT, Jasper, and One Vibe playing a mix of contemporary jazz, funk and roots reggae jazz.
Look out for the Woollaston Estates Gala Concert on Thursday 3 January featuring Jennine Bailey and her stellar band with a tribute to Ella Fitzgerald.
Not to be missed will be the two concerts at The Boathouse -
Blues at the Boathouse on Thursday 3 January featuring Darren Watson & Guests
Charlotte Jane and JazzLab from Australiaplaying the music of Freddy Hubbard on Friday 4 January.

Once again the Nelson Jazz Club is proud to welcome you to another great festival of jazz and blues. After small beginnings 22 years ago the festival has grown to be one of New Zealand’s iconic music events.
Along with our visiting jazz stars we are featuring the best of local bands in this year’s
programme.
